PRINCIPAL BUILDING CERTIFIER
Victor Vermeer is the Principal Building Certifier and Director of Vermeer Building Certification. Vic has over 30 years’ experience in the building and construction industry as a Building Certifier, Builder, Carpenter, Joiner, and Carpentry & Concreting apprenticeship Training Manager.
Vic has lived in Ipswich and the Scenic Rim his entire life and has an extensive knowledge of the local areas and their requirements for compliant building.
Vic has 15 years building construction experience and fully understands the challenges involved in the building process and is able to identify non-compliant work and assist with options to ensure building work is compliant.

Licenced Building Certifier Level 2 with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission with endorsement as a Private Certifier and Class A Development Approval endorsement
Licenced as a Builder with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission
12 Years’ experience as a practicing Building Certifier (5 Years in Local Government)
6 Years’ experience in training carpentry apprentices
15 Years’ experience as a Contract Carpenter/Foreman/Builder on residential and commercial projects
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree of Building Surveying
- Course in Issuing Development Permits for Building Work
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
- Certificate III in Concreting
